Student Research Award Applications
The application cycle for 2026 is currently CLOSED.
However, each year IACFP Student Members who are full-time students are eligible to apply for the IACFP Student Research Award. Two types of awards are available:
- The Research Excellence Award for those who demonstrated excellence in research that has already been completed.
- The Research Operations Award to support operational costs to carry out planned research activities.
Evaluation criteria include:
- Contribution of the research to the literature and/or practice
- Alignment with the vision and goals of IACFP
- Research that enhances practitioner practices and outcomes through innovative methods or programs
- Research that enhances the well-being of practitioners working in applied forensic and correctional psychology settings
- If applicable, operational expenses required to facilitate data collection and analysis (e.g., participant payment, fieldwork expenses, statistical software)

IACFP Student Award Applications DUE JUNE 15th, 2026
The IACFP Student Members who are full-time students are eligible to apply for the IACFP Student Research Award. The IACFP Board approved up to four $1250 USD research awards for the calendar year 2026. Two types of awards are available:
- The Research Excellence Award for those who demonstrated excellence in research that has already been completed.
- The Research Operations Award to support operational costs to carry out planned research activities.
Evaluation criteria include:
- Contribution of the research to the literature and/or practice
- Alignment with the vision and goals of IACFP
- Research that enhances practitioner practices and outcomes through innovative methods or programs

- July 6 2026 Decisions Announced for Final 2026 Awards –> Final decisions have been made. Keep an eye out for announcements involving award recipients in the near future!
